Demystifying
Hypermobility

Clear, evidence-informed education to help you understand symptomatic hypermobility, HSD and hEDS, and navigate what comes next.

Understanding your body can change the way you move through the world.

It starts with understanding

Hypermobility can affect far more than how flexible you are.

One of the most common things I hear from patients is:

"I've always been told I'm hypermobile... but no one's ever explained what that actually means.”

Symptoms can span multiple body systems. Diagnoses can be confusing. Healthcare can feel fragmented. And knowing what to do next isn't always obvious.

Understanding how these pieces may fit together can give you a clearer place to start.

Where would you like to start?

  • I'm trying to understand my hypermobility

Learn what hypermobility means, when it can become symptomatic, and why it may affect more than your joints.

BEHIND ANASA

Created from clinical practice. Shaped by lived experience.

I’m Bec Feakes, an Australian osteopath with a clinical focus on symptomatic hypermobility, and I also live with hEDS myself.

Through both my clinical work and my own experience navigating healthcare, I kept coming back to the same problem: people living with complex, interconnected symptoms were often left trying to piece together what was happening in their bodies for themselves.

I created Anasa to make that information easier to understand — bringing together evidence, clinical experience and lived experience to help people recognise patterns, ask better questions and feel more informed about their own care.

Because understanding what your body is doing can change the way you navigate it.
