PATHWAY 2

Living With Hypermobility

Understanding the patterns, symptoms and signals your body is giving you.

Understanding Your Symptom Pattern

How to stop looking at 15 symptoms individually and start building a whole-body picture. Body systems, symptom mapping, patterns, timelines, triggers, variability.

Understanding Protective Patterns

The stuff you've already started elsewhere: bracing, guarding, nervous-system protection, boom/bust cycles, movement avoidance, fatigue, sensitisation — why the body does things that can feel counterproductive.
Now we can properly explore dysautonomia/POTS, GI issues, mast-cell-related symptoms, migraine/headache, pelvic/bladder issues, neurodivergence etc. Not “you have these because you have hEDS”, but what patterns might warrant investigation.

Exploring Associated Conditions

How assessment actually works: history, Beighton, 5PQ, hEDS criteria, HSD assessment, exclusions, red flags for other connective-tissue disorders, who diagnoses what, what to bring to an appointment.
